Am 15. Juni 2019 ist es soweit: Zum 24. Mal zieht die Regenbogenparade um die Wiener Ringstraße. Die Demonstration setzt zum Abschluss von EuroPride 2019 noch einmal ein lautes Zeichen für die Rechte, Akzeptanz und Sichtbarkeit von LGBTIQ-Personen in Europa und der ganzen Welt.

Seit ihrem ersten Stattfinden im Jahr 1996 verzeichnet die Regenbogenparade eine stetig wachsende Zahl an Teilnehmer*innen und Mitmarschierenden. Im Zuge von EuroPride 2019 werden wir die größte Regenbogenparade seit ihrem Bestehen begehen und dem Motto ‚together & proud’ Ausdruck zu verleihen. Lesben, Schwule, Bisexuelle, Heterosexuelle, Trans-, Cis-, Inter- und queere Personen werden unüberhörbar und unübersehbar gemeinsam für Akzeptanz, Respekt und gleiche Rechte in Österreich, Europa und auf der ganzen Welt demonstrieren.

Die Parade startet um 12 Uhr auf Höhe des Rathausplatzes, wo im Pride Village ab 10 Uhr das Warm-up vonstattengeht. Der Paradenzug wird sich gegen die Fahrtrichtung einmal rund um den Ring bis zurück zum Pride Village bewegen, wo die Celebration mit Ansprachen von Aktivist*innen und Politiker*innen sowie die Prämierung der besten Paradenbeiträge stattfinden werden. Nationale und internationale Acts sorgen auf einer großen Bühne für Unterhaltung.

Trotz ausgelassener Party-Stimmung ist die Regenbogenparade eine wichtige politische Demonstration für eine diskriminierungsfreie Gesellschaft in Österreich, in Europa und auf der ganzen Welt. EuroPride 2019 ruft daher alle Mitmarschierenden und Zuschauer*innen auf, ihren Anliegen mit Transparenten, T-Shirts etc. Ausdruck zu verleihen.

On 15 June 2019 the time has come: The 24th Pride Pride Parade in Vienna (Rainbow Parade) will move along the Ringstrasse. At the end of EuroPride 2019, the demonstration once again sends a loud signal for the rights, acceptance and visibility of LGBTIQ people in Europe and the whole world.
Since it first took place in 1996, the Rainbow Parade has recorded a steadily growing number of participants and marchers. As part of EuroPride 2019, we will be celebrating the largest Rainbow Parade in its history and expressing the motto ‘together & proud’. Lesbians, gays, bisexuals, heterosexuals, trans-, cis-, inter- and queer people will demonstrate together for acceptance, respect and equal rights in Austria, Europe and all over the world.

The parade starts at 12 noon after the warm up party at 10 a.m. in the PridePride Village. The protest march will move along the Ringstrasse against the direction of travel and return to the Pride Village, where the Celebration takes place. The Celebration includes speeches by activists and politicians as well as the awards ceremony for the best parade entry. National and international acts will provide entertainment on a large stage.

Despite the party atmosphere, the Rainbow Parade is an important political demonstration for a non-discriminatory society in Austria, in Europe and all over the world. EuroPride 2019 therefore calls on all marchers and spectators to express their concerns with banners, T-shirts, etc.
